#Cam Extension OBS Extension hand and face tracking causing crashes?
So my OBS has been having issues, and I did a whole bunch of troubleshooting, ended up doing a backup of all my scenes and profiles and deleting/reinstalling everything. And had zero issues with crashing until I installed the lovense cam extension. When I look at the crash log, I see the same exact issue I had before my reinstall; a weird memory dump/looping issue with face and hand tracking in the lovense extension. This is a feature I have never enabled, and when I check my Cam extension settings online it shows that I would have to refresh my OBS and create a new scene specifically for face or hand tracking! So WHY, in my OBS logs, do those features not only appear to be active, but seem to be causing memory dumps to the extent that they crash my program?

Side note, I am not academically experienced with this stuff at all and am an amateur programmer at best. Everything I do know has been self taught on the job and through my own research, so bear with me for any incorrect assumptions or misphrasing of specific things. I don't feel comfortable sharing my log files on here publicly but feel free to reach out to me if you have actual experience with this stuff and know how to read them because I would love to know what is actually going on here.
And if anybody who actually works for lovense is reading this, can you please create a dialogue inside the OBS extension that allows us to opt out of certain services we don't need (for the sake of saving resources and having more consistent stream quality) like hand and face tracking, or any other resource-heavy services.

What OS are you using? Are you using StreamMaster or something else? If something else, what browser are you using and what other extensions are installed? Are you using OBS or OBS Studio?

does anyone still use obs classic in 2023, genuinely? I thought they stopped supporting it in like 2016? also I keep everything up to date. I am using the latest stable release of windows, OBS studio, and lovense. None of what you are saying answers my question as to why face and hand tracking is showing up in my logs though, and that is my main concern. The crashing is whatever, I can deal with it. The thing that I find upsetting is face and hand tracking being enabled when I never gave consent to lovense to do those things. The crashing is just what Alerted Me to the Issue.

If you don't answer my questions, I can't help you. StreamMaster is three things rolled into one package: Google Chrome, OBS, and the Lovense plugin. They are developed to work together. You should NOT upgrade them separately. Since I'm not one of the developers I can't speak to the logs, but the Lovense Camera does face and hand tracking and with the virtual OBS camera, an error on your system is generating the logs, NOT tracking you. But since you don't seem to want to answer my questions.....

I answered with the relevant information, (to repeat my answers more clearly; windows 11, OBS studio, lovense browser. I will not be sharing which other OBS extensions/plugins I use because it is proprietary information and I have already checked for interactions/complications with Lovense's Plugin and found none. The issue I have has *already* been proven to be caused entirely by the Lovense OBS cam extension and the aforementioned impossible-to-disable face/hand tracking software)
Thank you for letting me know you're not a dev and can't actually explain why face and hand tracking are being activated, or help me to disable it. I will contact the lovense devs directly instead. Thank you for your time and have a wonderful day <3
