#Cam Extension IMPORTANT UPDATE: Some troubleshooting solutions for the new Cam Extension

Hello my dear Cam101 community,

Due to restrictions from Google Chrome, we have recently started recommending models to upgrade to our latest cam extension (based on Chrome's latest architecture). However, we have found that some models are encountering various issues during the upgrade process.

Here is a mini guide for troubleshooting (take a look at the attached photos):

1. Make sure your developer mode is enabled. If it is disabled, the new version of the cam extension will not be able to run.

2. If you encounter the floating ball not loading on the live page, try refreshing the plugin to see if this resolves the issue.

3. If you find that all your previous settings are missing after entering, please click here to re-import your settings. All settings have been backed up on the server, so there is no need to worry about losing them.

Is that safe? I don't need malware on my computer again and the reason why I ask this. Because I googled it and it said this.

"Once enabled, you can access its various features to enhance your devices' performance such as USD debugging, boosting the speed of video games, etc. While it may not seem like a threat to your device, software experts advise that developer mode should be turned off after use for security reasons."

I will not stream in my admin account for stream master. So is there a safer alternative?

Developer mode isn't the same as the local administrator account. If you're using StreamMaster only for streaming , this wont really be an issue. It's more a failure of the developers doing the proper things.

I am not using StreamMaster. Because it only works in my admin account. I am streaming in my local account and I will not have the developer mode always on for security reasons. So on that note! What works in my local account and without the extension needing the developer mode always on? Right now, my lush works on one site and the other 3 sites that I am on. I am using the Hitachi.

So I cannot for the life of me get this to work. I get v.3 installed on chrome, but then I try to add it to my extension page and it says I need stream master version 120 to run it, mine is 1.7.7 and it says it has no updates. what should I do here?

What a DISASTER. 2 days trying to get this to work after I was forced to update chrome i still cannot get the extension to eve fucnction. im literally ugly crying because i'm so frustrated and stressed as this is wasting so much stream time. im on the verge of a meltdown !!
