I have been streaming for a while off a tablet. Every time I received a tip I could really hear the tip notification decently loud. Now with my new computer, I am using stream master and I am using the built in OBS to get overlays. When I receive a tip, I can barely hear it and sometimes miss it. When I go to watch someone else’s stream, the volume is so so so low. But when I go watch a video on YouTube at the same time, I have no issue with volume. Clearly this is a setting issue and I did not have this issue on my tablet. What setting must I change in order to have the volume louder for tip notification and to hear other streamers? Yes my volume is turned up fully as well. I’ve tinkered with a lot of settings and nothing seems to change the volume output. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Hoping someone has experienced this before and knows how to fix the issue.
Hi Jus4u44. A few things worth checking — in StreamMaster, go to Settings > Audio and make sure the alert/notification volume slider is turned up. Also check your system audio mixer (right-click the speaker icon in your taskbar > Open Volume mixer) and confirm the StreamMaster browser or app is not set to a lower volume there. Since YouTube plays fine, the issue is likely within the StreamMaster or OBS audio routing rather than your hardware. If adjusting those does not help, please send your details to [email protected] and the team can take a closer look.
