#Tech help #Streaming software Cam resolution
Hello everyone,

I have a laptop with a camera that can stream to 1080p. But my OBS is set to 1080p for Chaturbate but it still shows 720p. I tried to look in my laptop settings too. Does anybody have an idea what I can try or what I can do to improve it?

Thank you in advance.

You should be able to adjust it right there in Chaturbate, does that not work?

That is the weird part, I can select only up to 720p. But everywhere else in my laptop and in the settings i can change it to 1080p but it doesn't show up when selecting cam. But when i stream it says HD+?

Sounds like it might just be a bug :/

In OBS under settings > video; there are two resolutions listed.
The 'base resolution' is what you see in OBS and the 'output resolution' is your streaming resolution. Check this and make sure the output matches the base resolution.

Yes my base resolution automatically is 1920 x 1080, the ouput was 1280 x 720, but i changed it to 1920 x 1080, i did all speficiations test, internet speed test, i followed the tutorial and other ones too, normally it should work but it doesn't. So i will contact chaturbate support.

The only other thing I can think of is if your bitrate is too low but that usually results in pixelation not downscaling.

If you've checked all your settings and you're sure your laptop can handle streaming at that resolution then yeah contacting support is your best option...

To be sure I made a profile on another site, there it worked perfectly in 1080p, so it is definitely CB.

I also had this issue when I was new on CB, it looks like CB cuts resolution/quality for new models or models with low viewer count. After I gained viewers on CB, established schedule, CB allowed higher resolution. I guess it's logical that they don't user their limited server resources on a new models with low viewers. You can try to submit a support ticket if you are 100% sure that it's not your settings.
