#StreamMaster OH MY GAWD! I FOUND IT!

Ok - for anyone that is having issues with stream master even opening now, I figured mine out. Once again, I tried opening after uninstalling and reinstalling several times. Nothing. So, this time when I opened the properties I actually saw the button where I can open the app in folder. Now I have searched the app several times only to be confused as to how it is not showing up in my files. After I downloaded it ..... it saved itself as "Chrome" not stream master. I clicked on that and vua la! it opened. I am able to see the actual stream master app now!!!!! Hope this helps some of you.

so i opened properties on the stream master installer that saved to my desktop. clicked on open in folder and you see the stream master logo there, but it says Chrom and it is probably, I'm guessing, for chromium (maybe it doesn't have an "E" on it, but you will know it immediately when you see it because it is the proper logo

Unfortunately I still cannot properly use the app because maybe my computers cannot handle it .... IDK. I understand that programs like this are often large, but there has to be a way for us "less fortunate" people who do this to be able to use it. I can't afford a decent computer and I am sure i am not the only one out there with the issue. It is appearing to me that I, sadly, will just not be able to enjoy using this. I am able to get the toys connected to each platform and that is what counts, I suppose

If I continue having issues, I will definitely post screenshots. I have been having bitrate issues. Always too low. Any suggestion on how I go about working on that? lamins terms. I am NOT techy :)

almost forgot ... i am using a refurbished windows. it is an old laptop that had a new hardrive just put in. it is a slow one. old dell latitude e6400

Oh, where do I begin? I let the Stream master update, and I saw all the new features and how everything was integrated, and I thought, "Wow, this is pretty cool." But then I tried to use it. Last night was an absolute shit show. I never even got to broadcast. Chaturbate will not recognize permissions any more. I don't know what went sideways, but the OBS in stream will not open. I sat there, all night, going through settings making sure everything had the correct permissions. Nothing. It would not recognize my external web cam, let alone my crappy built in web cam. OBS just keeps giving me a "timed out" dialog (upper center of the screen). This morning I thought I would try to work out the bugs, but nope. Still failing. I should have known something was up when I had to re-enter ALL of my website info into the Stream Master. What's worse, is even my settings in regular Chrome are jacked now as well. I couldn't even get it to work by going into Chrome and setting up through there.

From what I have experienced, chaturbate has to be set for obs first. Select the Steam now under cb logo. CB will start off with the first screen shot below. Then select the Use external software (OBS). After that, select the View RTMP/OBS broadcast information and stream key. This key you will enter in obs. (2nd screen shot without the token #) Copy that number. Next, click close. Then select the check my obs stream pink button (on the stream master key on the right). 4th screen shot. Click settings (under controls to the right) and click streaming. This is where you need to paste the stream key. (5th screenshot) Once you do that, click ok . For your video, dbl click the video capture, under sources on your obs. click the down arrow, if you have multiple camera. or it should show your camera. (6th screenshot)The trick is that CB only allows the max resolution at 1280x720 so be sure to select that under the camera resolution that you are wanting to use. If you are still having any troubles, please don't hesitate to dm me.

Wow! Excellent info. I am going to try that now as I tend to have some issues. Do you ever have bitrate issues? Mine is that it always seems to be too low. Thank you for this. I am going to jot this down and run with it. Fingers crossed

I did have bitrate issues at the start, however to fix this, you go to settings in your obs, select output and I have mine set like this. Ever since, no issues.

Thanks! I hope it works for you! Also, your bitrate depends on your camera fps (frames per second). My camera can only go up to 30 fps. The higher your fps, the higher your bitrate can go. Go to settings, video. It should match up to your camera. Mine looks like this:
