Muting greys can have the opposite effect as well, I prefer to let them talk, but they must show respect and abide by the rules or they do get the silence/ban button.
This is clearly stated on my room rules before they enter.
There are a lot of greys that never buy tkesn as you say, so let me say that I was once a grey too, then I bought tokens, then I signed up as a model, and here we are.

Changing color on the site you're talking about is possible after level 85. It can be a bit confusing in navigating it at first. The key to understanding WHO is changing color and their significance is:

1. No user can change to grey without an EX next to their name (except one... and that will be fixed in a few months).
2. The levels normal "users" are allowed to change to are 10, 15, 35, 55, and 85 once they have reached level 85 or above.
3. There is a very little known Dark Blue color - this is the color of the site's staff "admin" accounts.
4. A user will fall back to Grey if they are below level 35 and have no tokens however they will have EX next to their name.
