when setting up the toys to broadcast, do I have to do these steps each and every time?

Depends on what you mean with steps, the installing and logging in parts no, the settings if you saved them not, but the conecting with bluetooth yes.

Yes, you have to do these steps every time. Its easier with the phone app. Just scan the QR code on your laptop screen with your phone camera and your toys should sync up. Agreed its a huge boner-killer.
