Which Cam Site is Best for Me? Part 2
November 10, 2022
An overview of popular camming sites to help narrow down which one is best for you.

It seems like every week there is a new camming or content-selling site released with shiny promises and features. It can be overwhelming to know which site is best for you, as many have similar methods and structures. We’ve broken down some of the top players to hopefully make your decision a little bit easier.

Chaturbate

The largest cam site in the world by traffic, with over 300 million monthly visitors. It also has more models than any other cam site, which can translate to higher competition. They do have a New Broadcaster Tag that lasts 7 days from when your account is verified, to help you when starting out. A solid option for a model starting out and wanting to do public rooms and gain exposure, with also many languages available.

Stripchat

Stripchat is a great choice for new models, with up to 60% revenue share and a special feature where new models get boosted site placement for 2 weeks. Stripchat offers Private Shows, Cam2Cam Shows and Spy Shows where get to set your own price and get paid by the minute. A good strategy on Stripchat is to attract viewers in your freemium show and then entice them into taking you private where you'll get paid by the minute at whatever price you set.

Streamate

Streamate is for models who are newer to camming and want to dip their toes into making extra money, while still having great control over their privacy. It has some of the best privacy settings, allowing you to precisely control who can see what. However, with a 30% payout, it's one of the lowest percentages out of the bunch.

LiveJasmin

A good option for models that want maximum exposure and have high traffic. Available in over 10 languages, LiveJasmin is a very popular option for split-camming. With a payment ladder structure, you can earn starting from 30% (level 1) all the way up to 80% (level 9).

BongaCams

The 2nd largest cam girl site on the internet, with roughly 310 million monthly visitors. It is a good choice if you want to work for tips in a free show with very high traffic. The site is consistently offering new promotions and looking to update its features.

MyFreeCams

Although the interface of the site looks outdated, MyFreeCams is one the most popular camming websites. It caters to the “internet girlfriend” experience, as well as has functions to sell images, videos, and have a fan club. MFC organizes their models on the homepage based on their 'camsore'. Although the site has not disclosed exactly work the score is calculated, it is accepted that is based on the number of tokens you earn per hour over a 60 day average. Therefore, the more tokens you earn, the higher your camscore, and the better placement on the homepage you will receive.

Xmodels

While Xmodels is based in Europe and is a very popular cam site there, models from anywhere in the world can sign up. An important note about Xmodels is that you must cam on the site for 100 hours before you will be allowed to set your own price for private and exclusive chats. The initial per-minute rate is low, so it's hard to make significant earnings until you've reached that 100 hour threshold and can raise your price.
